Promotion of Specified Health Guidance

To help prevent strokes and heart attacks caused by lifestyle-related diseases, as well as the resulting risk of retirement, we will place particular emphasis on promoting specific health guidance for employees aged 40 and over.

We will introduce online health guidance services, enabling public health nurse-led sessions that can be attended from any location, and will also handle the initial application on employees’ behalf in order to thoroughly eliminate the effort and psychological barriers to participation.

6. Specific Health & Productivity Initiatives

Strengthening our health checkup results management system and post-checkup follow-up measures
Post-checkup follow-up measures

By rolling out regular health checkups earlier, we are speeding up the process of booking and attending checkups, and are recommending that employees with emergent abnormal test results seek urgent medical attention.
Employees can also access a system to review their own health checkup results at any time throughout the calendar year, enabling them to identify changes in their health over time.
Employees can also access a system to review their health checkup results at any time, enabling them to track changes in their health over time.

Subsidies for secondary medical tests

We are promoting the early detection and treatment of diseases among our employees by subsidizing the cost of secondary medical tests (i.e., repeated and detailed medical exams). This will help us to eliminate both presenteeism and absenteeism in the workplace.

Improving lifestyle habits
Sleep improvement program

As poor sleep affects employees in various ways by leading to accidents, risks, lost opportunities, and adverse mental health, we offer our employees sleep training by a sleep nutrition adviser and individual consultations to promote factual medical information about sleep and enable self-care.

Digestive health improvement program

We provide intestinal flora testing and a seminar presented by a dietitian to give our employees opportunities to prevent lifestyle diseases through improved nutrition and diet.

Mental health measures
Stress checks for all employees subject to regular health checkups

We conduct stress checks not only for our offices with 50 or more employees, but for all employees subject to regular health checkups, and perform group-based analysis of the results including the proportion of employees with high stress levels. In addition, we use the “Mental Health Improvement & Reinforcement Research of Recognition” (MIRROR) survey. We are supporting workplace improvements by providing feedback to department managers on information such as group trends and stressors faced by employees so that they can take actions to improve employee mental health.

Employee Assistance Program(EAP)

With the aim of preventing mental health issues and enabling early intervention, we have introduced outbound calls from external specialists. Based on the results of stress checks and other measures, specialists will directly approach employees who are showing signs of poor health as part of a tailored support system to prevent health conditions from worsening.

Self-care & line-care training

We provide self-care training as part of our employee orientation to share knowledge that will encourage our employees to seek early consultation. We also provide “line-care” training to our managers in order to equip them with the right knowledge and skills to respond to employee consultations.
These training courses are also available in an online format so that they can be accessed simultaneously from any of our business locations in Japan.

Employee health follow-ups (consultations & return-to-work support)

We are creating an environment in which employees can take appropriate care of their own mental and physical health, including consultations with HR staff and meetings with occupational physicians and public health nurses.

Return-to-work support program

To ensure that employees who have taken a leave of absence can return to work with peace of mind, we have partnered with an outside organization to provide a return-to-work support program. This program provides a clear roadmap to help employees navigate the process and conditions for returning to the workplace with peace of mind.

Ensuring equitable working hours
Work interval system

We are implementing a work interval system to mitigate fatigue and stress by ensuring that our employees have adequate rest time.

Overwork monitoring

Our HR staff check work attendance data on a weekly basis and provide support for corrective guidance by supervisors of employees who may be working long hours.

Healthcare portal site

Our healthcare portal site offers a wealth of content including information on health checkups, stress checks, consultation services, and our health & productivity management initiatives. The site’s monthly health newsletters also provide useful information for employees such as comments by occupational physicians and public health nurses at the Workplace Health & Safety Committee meetings.
