2nd STREET

Since launching in the United States in 2018, 2nd STREET has expanded into six countries and regions outside Japan, including the United States, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
The GEO Group considers its overseas business to be one pillar of its growth strategy, and we are striving to expand our share of the global reuse market as we take on the challenge of becoming the undisputed number one player in the reuse industry.

2nd STREET USA

The second-hand goods market in the U.S. is expected to grow on the back of increased patronage from various generations. In addition to conventional reuse stores in the U.S. that rely on donations to procure their merchandise, the market for reuse stores that buy and sell products is currently expanding.

Our first U.S. store located on the West Coast is posting steady progress, both in terms of its operating results and the training of local employees. While the U.S.-based 2nd STREET stores primarily deal in locally sourced merchandise, they have also succeeded in expanding their store network by leveraging their strengths, such as offering second-hand goods shipped from Japan and items that are difficult to find in the U.S., responding promptly to the latest fashion trends and weather conditions, and offering Japanese-style hospitality.

As of the end of December 2025, we have opened 52 stores in the states of California, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Georgia, New Jersey, Colorado, North Carolina, Illinois, Arizona, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
Moving forward, 2nd STREET will focus on new store openings in areas where we already have stores, strengthening our dominant market position with the goal of reaching 100 stores by March 2030.

In Malaysia, 2nd STREET sells second-hand clothing imported from Japan through its in-store retail and wholesale business.

As of the end of December 2025, we have opened 30 stores in the capital Kuala Lumpur and in Selangor.
We will continue to conduct marketing research and local recruitment as we develop distribution infrastructure around Kuala Lumpur and further strengthen our business expansion.

2nd STREET Taiwan

In Taiwan where the second-hand goods market is still developing, we are actively pursuing plans to open new stores in order to consolidate our market position. One of the strengths of 2nd STREET’s Taiwan store is that it constantly purchases and sells products not only from Taiwan but also Japan.

As of the end of December 2025, we have opened 50 stores in the cities of Taipei, Taichung, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Kaohsiung, Yilan, Hsinchu, Tainan, Miaoli, Pingtung, and Keelung, and have also opened Taiwan’s first dedicated purchasing only store. While bolstering our human resource development and cost control measures, we will continue to make inroads into Taiwan’s second-hand goods market with the goal of opening 100 stores by March 2030.

2nd STREET Thailand

Thailand is currently in a phase of increasing urbanization, with more than 50% of its total population now residing in urban areas. We aim to capitalize on this trend by opening 50 new stores by March 2035, mainly in the Bangkok metropolitan area, where the population is projected to rise.

Thailand is now the second Southeast Asian nation after Malaysia where we have opened a 2nd STREET outlet. As of the end of December 2025, we have opened 8 stores in the capital Bangkok and in Nonthaburi.

2nd STREET Singapore

In Singapore, although the government promotes sustainability, it is not common for people to purchase reused clothes, and we expect the market to see future growth.

In April 2025, 2nd STREET opened its first store in Singapore, becoming the very first reuse chain store in the country. As of the end of December 2025, we have opened 2 stores in sub-center areas.
2nd STREET will continue to test the scope and location required to meet the needs of its customers and aim to quickly establish dominant stores.

2nd STREET Hong Kong

Demand for reused products has been increasing in Hong Kong in recent years due to heightened environmental awareness, but many people still prefer to buy new products, and there is still room for overall market expansion.

In May 2025, 2nd STREET opened its first store in Hong Kong in the Mong Kok area, which is popular with young people. As of the end of December 2025, we have opened 2 stores in Mong Kok and in Sha Tin.
Looking ahead, 2nd STREET will identify local purchasing needs and actively aim to expand its business.
